After You Order — What Happens Next
Please do not contact us the moment you receive a shipping notification. Wait for us to email you with a scheduling link — we must have the firearm in our possession first.
If you received a delivery notification and haven’t gotten an email from us by the next day, check your spam folder first, then contact us.
Give the seller our FFL info. Our California Firearm Dealer license number is 23996. Once we receive the firearm, you’ll get an email to schedule your first appointment.
For 3rd party purchases: if we haven’t received your required documents within 21 days, the order will be canceled and funds returned minus a 30% restocking fee.
The 10-day waiting period begins the moment we submit your paperwork at your first appointment. That’s 10 full days × 24 hours — nothing less. Your exact pickup date and time will appear on your DROS paperwork.
You may pick up your firearm any time on or after the 10th day, but you must complete your pickup within 30 days of your first appointment — that is when your DROS expires. If it expires, you will need to pay the DROS fee again, and if your firearm came from a 3rd party, the FFL transfer fee will also apply again.

ID Issues
Check your ID right now — if it doesn’t have the golden bear, you must bring one of the following regardless of where you were born:
- Valid, unexpired U.S. passport or passport card
- Certified copy of U.S. birth certificate
- Certificate of Naturalization or U.S. Citizenship
- Valid, unexpired Permanent Resident Card
- Valid foreign passport with U.S. immigrant visa + I-94
If the name on your ID differs from the supplemental document, also bring a marriage certificate, name change document, or adoption document.
Firearm Safety Devices (FSD)
Bring the FSD and a receipt dated within the last 30 days. We charge the same as Amazon — $7 per FSD.
If you have a gun safe and wish to sign a Safe Affidavit instead, have the make and model ready. Handgun safes must appear on the CA DOJ’s approved roster.
Taxes, Fees & Returns
All sales are final once DROS has been submitted — this includes firearms, ammunition, and optics. Canceled orders after we’ve placed them with a distributor are subject to a 30% restocking fee.
DROS fees are non-refundable for any reason.
You may pick up your firearm starting on the 10th day after your background check appointment. You have up to 30 calendar days to complete the pickup — that is when your DROS expires.
Eligibility & Policy Reminders
We take our responsibility to public safety seriously. We will refuse service to anyone who smells of alcohol or marijuana, appears to be under the influence of any substance, or otherwise displays signs of impairment. This behavior suggests irresponsibility and is incompatible with firearm ownership.
Additionally, the Federal Government considers anyone who uses marijuana or other illicit drugs to be ineligible to own a firearm — regardless of California state law.
